Medical weight loss physician
Christine M. Kirkendol, M.D., serves as the clinical director of the medically supervised (non-surgical) program at Community Bariatric Services - North, supporting patients through their weight loss journey. Dr. Kirkendol has more than 10 years of experience as an emergency room physician and has seen first-hand the devastating complications of obesity in patients.
After receiving her undergraduate degree from University of Illinois and a master’s degree from Purdue University, Dr. Kirkendol received her doctor of medicine degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Prior to joining Community Health Network, Dr. Kirkendol worked for 10 years as an ER physician for St. Vincent Mercy and St. Vincent Williamsport and also had an internal medicine practice with Witham Health Services. Dr. Kirkendol is a member of the American College of Physicians/American Society of Internal Medicine and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
When not working, running or exercising, Dr. Kirkendol enjoys spending time with her husband, children and two dogs.
