Steven M. Clark, MD, FACS
Dr. Clark is a native of Westbury, New York. He holds degrees from Harvard University and the University of Michigan School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
The primary reason behind Dr. Clark’s decision to become a surgeon was because he wanted to help people. A surgeon's ability to diagnose and effectively treat people’s problems attracted him to surgery, and then to bariatric surgery. “Bariatric surgery is an inflection point; it saves lives and allows people to live a more fulfilled existence,” he says.
Dr. Clark is married and says he is the proud father of four “energetic, adorable children who provide me with a constant challenge and tremendous joy.” Beyond his work and family priorities, Dr. Clark enjoys soccer, music, history and philosophy.
