Meet our staff

Each Center for Joint Health has a clinical leadership team that leads the care, quality and development of its hip and knee joint replacement unit.

Community Hospital East

Edward P. Todderud, M.D., orthopedic surgeon, medical director of Center for Joint Health at CHEEdward P. Todderud, M.D., a board certified orthopedic surgeon, is the medical director of the Center for Joint Health at Community Hospital East. Dr. Todderud’s clinical interests include total joint replacement and general orthopedics. He is on the orthopedic team at Community Physician Network Orthopedic Specialty Care.

A graduate of Purdue University and Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Todderud completed his internship and residency at Southern Illinois University, Springfield, Illinois. He served as Chief of Staff at Community Hospitals East and North from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, he has authored numerous articles regarding joint replacement, lower back pain, arthritis and orthopedic conditions.

Todderud is married and has three children. He enjoys playing golf, hiking, fishing, mountain biking and skiing.

Eric Lowe, R.N., joint care coordinator at CHEEric Lowe, R.N., is the joint care coordinator at Community Hospital East’s Center for Joint Health. A graduate of Indiana University School of Nursing, Lowe earned his bachelor of science in nursing degree in 2008. Eric is a member of the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses. He brings with him vast experience in the surgical setting as a circulating and scrub nurse for various joint replacement surgeries.

Eric was raised in Lebanon, Indiana and currently resides in Kirklin on a small rural farm with his quarter horses. He enjoys his time outdoors golfing and horseback riding.

Community Hospital North

George Feliciano, M.D., orthopedic surgeon, medical director of Center for Joint Health at CHNGeorge Feliciano, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon, is the medical director of the Center for Joint Health at Community Hospital North. His clinical interests include total joint replacement, cartilage preservation and improving patients’ functional outcome. He is on the orthopedic team at Community Physician Network Orthopedic Specialty Care.

Dr. Feliciano received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Akron General Medical Center, Akron, Ohio. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Feliciano was awarded a fellowship position in lower extremity reconstruction surgery at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California. Dr. Feliciano is performing total hip replacements via the direct anterior hip approach, a novel tissue-sparing approach to hip replacement surgery, with specialized instrumentation and table.

In his freetime, Dr. Feliciano enjoys cycling, reading and spending time with his family.

Yvonne Hacker, R.N., joint care coordinator at CHNYvonne Hacker, R.N., is the joint care coordinator at Community Hospital North’s Center for Joint Health. Hacker has over 20 years experience in providing care to orthopedic patients at Community Hospital North. Her expertise includes pre- and post-operative total joint education. She is orthopedic certified.

Hacker received her nursing degree from the University of Indianapolis and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society.

Hacker was raised in Carmel, Indiana and currently resides in Noblesville. She is married and has two children.

Community Hospital South

Kurt Martin, M.D., orthopedic surgeon, medical director of Center for Joint Health at CHSKurt Martin, M.D., a board certified orthopedic surgeon, is the medical director of the new Center for Joint Health at Community Hospital South. Dr. Martin’s clinical interests include total joint replacement, sports medicine and surgical treatment of upper and lower extremity trauma. He is a partner in Greenwood Orthopaedics, P.C.

A native of Lawrence Township, Dr. Martin completed his undergraduate degree at Anderson University. His medical and doctorate degrees, as well as his orthopedic surgery residency, were completed at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis.

Dr. Martin joined Greenwood Orthopaedics in 2004. He currently lives in Greenwood with his wife, three daughters and son.

Carrie Schroeder, R.N., joint care coordinator at CHSCarrie Schroeder, R.N., is the joint care coordinator at Community Hospital South’s Center for Joint Health. Schroeder has a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Franklin College and a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Marian College. She is a member of the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She has worked at Community Health Network since 2007.

Carries lives in Franklin, Indiana with her husband and two children.
