Community Health Network provides a full range of neurological services to treat brain and nerve disorders such as epilepsy. Our multidisciplinary team of healthcare specialists works with patients of all ages. From testing through treatment, you’ll have access to comprehensive care by neurologist, neurosurgeons, nurses, psychiatrists, electroneurodiagnostic (END) technologists, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists and other clinical staff.
Patients are often referred to the neurology testing center after a neurologist has performed an initial examination. The center is staffed by neurologists and electroneurodiagnostic (END) technologists who are specially trained in brain and nervous system disorders. Community’s neurology testing center offers a variety of diagnostic procedures which are valuable tools your physician can use to help assess your condition. The test results can help your physician create a personalized treatment plan to address your symptoms.
Meet our staff
END technologist – An END technologist uses advanced technology such as digital electroencephalogram (EEG) and evoked potential (EP) equipment to monitor and record electrical activity from the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves. Community Health Network’s END technologists are experienced and highly skilled, with extensive training in helping physicians diagnose abnormal electrical activity in the nervous system.
Neurologist - A neurologist is a doctor who has trained in the diagnosis and treatment of nervous system disorders. This includes diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. Community’s neurologists partner with other members of the clinical team as well as patients, their family and their primary care physicians. To determine the best treatment, a neurologist may perform examinations of the nerves of the head and neck; assess muscle strength and movement; check balance and reflexes; and evaluate sensation, memory, speech, language and other cognitive abilities.
Neurosurgeon – A neurosurgeon is a doctor who specializes in surgery of the nervous system. A neurosurgeon will focus on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of conditions that affect the entire nervous system including the spinal column, spinal cord, brain and peripheral nerves. The neurosurgeons at Community use the most advanced technology and procedures, such as minimally invasive surgical care.
