Companions for the Journey

Community Home Health Services' Hospice program offers a bereavement support group called Companions for the Journey. The group is free and open to any adult dealing with a death of a loved one. Group activities focus on bereavement education, discussions, music, handouts and creative coping skills. Information shared at the group helps those grieving draw on individual strength and that of others.

"I thought that I was the only one who felt the way I did," said one grief support group member. "I was relieved to find others at the support group who understood the variety of emotions I was experiencing."

Memorial services are offered two times each year to support the loved ones of our hospice patients in celebrating the memory of their family member.

Grief 101

This one-time class offers basic information, support, and resources on grief and loss.

Meets the second Wednesday of each month from 2 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.

Grief 102

This monthly support group addresses specific grief and loss topics.

Meets the first Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Offered at various times and locations throughout central Indiana.
Call for the time and location that fits your needs.
