Dr. Pafford is originally from Roanoke, Virginia. He served as a nuclear reactor operator on a submarine for six years while serving in the U.S. Navy before receiving his bachelor of science with honors from Purdue University. He completed his medical education at the Indiana University School of Medicine and then completed the Family Medicine Residency Program at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Pafford can treat patients of all ages but has a special interest in pediatrics, sports medicine and tactical medicine.
He is married to Mary and they have three children. When he is not working, he enjoys volleyball and adventure racing as well as serving as a reserve police officer, and is active in his church. Prior to joining Community, Dr. Pafford practiced family and emergency medicine in Tipton, Indiana for ten years.
