Dr. Gowdamarajan is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon dedicated to protecting Hoosiers from colorectal cancer. He is an MD Anderson Cancer Network® certified physician with Community Health Network. He received his medical degree from University of Missouri (Kansas City) and completed residencies in both general surgery and colon and rectal surgery at Ohio State University. Here, he was also an assistant professor of surgery and an NRSA research fellow.
He belongs to several societies, including American Society of Colorectal Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and Indiana Cancer Consortium.
He was recently featured in the 2013 Top Doctors list in Indianapolis Monthly. He volunteers to provide free colon cancer screening in association with the American Cancer Society (ACS), and serves on the central Indiana Colorectal Cancer Awareness Network (CRAN) committee. He was honored in 2007 as the ACS volunteer of the year for his work and expertise.
