Dr. Ferrara offers women experience and expertise in gynecology and gynecological surgery. He graduated from Georgetown University Medical School and completed his internship and residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. Following his residency, Dr. Ferrara served in the United States Army Medical Corps. In 1971, he began his private OB/GYN practice and joined the medical staff at Community Hospital East. In 1972, Dr. Ferrara became board-certified with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Ferrara was the medial director of the Community Health Network Maternity Care Center from 1992-2009. He was chosen as Community Health Network’s Distinguished Physician of the Year in 2003. He is currently the medical director of Women's and Children’s Services of Community Health Network and the medical director of Women’s Health Services for Community Physician Network. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Community Physician Network and the Community Health Network Foundation.
Dr. Ferrara works with his patients to provide the best treatment available for their particular problems in their individual situations. He provides guidance as he considers all factors, including lifestyle, age, available therapies, patient expectations and medical standards of care. He is particularly interested in peri-menopausal and post-menopausal consultations and treatments as well as family planning.
