The Center for Interventional Radiology at Community Hospital East is unique in many ways. It is one of the first centers of its kind in the country to offer cutting–edge, digital flat detector (FD) angiography equipment from Siemens Medical Technologies. The technology (Axiom Artis dTA) is especially effective for the examination and treatment of vessels, tumors, and inner organs. It offers:

• High-resolution, three dimensional digital imaging
• Advanced computer diagnostic applications
• Larger imaging areas and shorter exposure times
• Improved digital images with a lower radiation dose to the patient

Also impressive is the comprehensive program of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures our interventional radiology physicians offer for a wide variety of disorders, including:

• Uterine fibroids
• Pelvic congestion syndrome
• Vertebral body compression fractures
• Back pain management
• Varicose/spider veins
• Biliary and renal disease
• Peripheral vascular disease
• Renal and carotid artery disease
• Benign and malignant tumors

The Center also offers a dedicated venous access program, dialysis access management, Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA), and CT Angiography (CTA).

The Center for Interventional Radiology is located in the lower level of Community Hospital East, 1500 North Ritter Avenue. To contact the Center, please call 317-355-5081. The interventional radiologists at the Center also perform these procedures at Community Hospital North.
