Orthopedic certification review program
Community Health Network supports its employees preparing for orthopedics certification through one-on-one mentoring and coaching. The ONC (orthopedic nurse certified) credential is the certification awarded by ONCB (Orthopedic Nurses Certification Board).
About this program
Guidance and support for orthopedic certification review is available on a one-on-one basis depending on the availability of the specialist. The hours are eligible to be counted against the 20 hours/year continuing education credit requirements for ONC certification. The orthopedic nursing areas supported include degenerative diseases, trauma, sports injuries, neuromuscular/pediatric/congenital, inflammatory disorders, operative orthopedics, metabolic bone diseases and oncology. Financial support for appearing for the orthopedic nurse certification examination may be available through the Community Health Network Foundation.
