Neuroscience Institute

As one of the fastest growing areas in nursing care, neuroscience nursing has an important place across the health care continuum. To encourage interested nurses to obtain a working knowledge in the area of neuroscience nursing, Community Health Network offers a continuing education program in neuroscience. The program is offered as part of the in-progress Neuroscience Institute.

Entry requirements (one of the following must apply)

• Successful completion of the nursing orientation at Community Health Network or a student nurse at Community Health Network or a new employee recruited to the neurology floor at Community Health Network

Learning opportunities

• 90 hours of didactic work
• Time with experienced members
• Classroom hours/CE credit hours (curriculum based on the AANN recommendations)
• A good beginning for preparation for certification by the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing (ABNN)
