Community Pharmacy Residency Programs

Pharmacy residency programs

Pharmacy Residency Thank you for your interest in our pharmacy residency programs. Our goal is to provide you with a residency experience that will prepare you for a lifetime of opportunities.

Our program provides training for three residents in the PGY1 year with additional residents in pharmacotherapy, administration, behavioral care and community practice specialty programs. We are fully accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists for our PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Pharmacotherapy residencies.

As a resident in our program, you will train in a community-based hospital and health care system. Our residents enjoy training opportunities in settings ranging from acute care hospitals to a specialty cardiology hospital to a family physician medical clinic.

The PGY-1 program may afford the resident with an opportunity to pursue an academic experience with close faculty mentorship to lead case discussions and serve as a co-preceptor during the year.

Although our website contains a lot of information, it cannot tell you who we really are. We encourage you to communicate with any of our faculty or residents. Our residents are our greatest assets, and for prospective applicants are often the best sources of insider information regarding our program. Experience has shown us that the more you get to know us, the more likely you will want to join our program.

Congratulations on your decision to pursue residency training. We hope to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Dan Degnan, Pharm.D., MS, CPHQ
