X-ray patient guide
“My doctor says I need an x-ray. What do I need to know?”
Visit our e-health library to learn more about x-rays.
X-ray, or radiography, is the easiest way for a physician to assess broken bones; however, x-ray is used for more than bones and joints.
The exam is painless.
You may be asked to put on a robe that will be provided to you by our center.
The test generally takes between 20 and 30 minutes.
A radiologist will read and interpret the results of your test and send a report to your physician. Your physician will share the results with you in a few days.
Community Imaging Center locations offer walk-in X-ray services. Find a location >>
