North: Information classes for weight loss

Each month, the Community Hospital North Bariatric Center of Excellence team presents free weight loss surgery seminars. These classes are for individuals interested in learning more about bariatric surgery options. The class reviews the anatomy of the surgery, the diet plan, and the lifestyle changes that are to be expected after surgery. It is also a forum for individuals to ask questions about weight loss surgery. After completion of the introductory seminar and pre-approval process, patients will have a consultation with a board-certified bariatric surgeon who is a member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).

Seminars are held Mondays and Tuesdays from 1 to 2 p.m. and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. in the multi-service rooms 1 & 2 (3rd floor near the elevators).
