Jenna has been part of the Community Health Network bariatric team since July 2008. She graduated from Ball State University in 2006 where she obtained her bachelor degree in dietetics and is a member of the American Dietetic Association. Jenna’s passion towards her patients is obvious. She states, “It is rewarding when patients come in and express how grateful they are that you helped change their lives! I enjoy helping others as much as I can.” In her free time, Jenna enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys shopping, taking photos and scrapbooking, going on vacations, and going to the movies.

Jennifer Leigh Gibson - Office CoordinatorJennifer Leigh Gibson, Office Coordinator

Jennifer has been part of the Community Health Network bariatric team since September 2008. She is currently working on a degree in business management and would like to pursue further education in health information sciences/information technology. Jennifer has worked in the medical field for several years, including experience in OB/GYN, orthopedic and prosthetics practices. Jennifer finds her job most rewarding when “Patients tell me that they are now able to do activities that they weren’t able to do before due to their weight!” When not working, Jennifer enjoys reading, cooking and attending her husband’s music concerts.

Pam Herman - Nurse CoordinatorPam Herman, Nurse Coordinator

Pam has been part of the Community Health Network bariatric team since March 2004. She obtained her associate degree in nursing from Marian College and her bachelor degree in nursing from IUPUI. Pam is a Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN) as well as a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons (ASMBS) and the National Association of Bariatric Nurses (NABN). Pam states, “Bariatrics is an amazing field to work in. You get to watch people go from struggling with weight and co-morbid conditions, less than full quality of life and decreased energy, to healthy, active and involved individuals. We help our patients on the journey to understanding that the surgery is a tool, and our main job and opportunity is to assist them in realizing a new and healthy lifestyle.” In her free time, Pam enjoys traveling and getting together with friends and family. She also enjoys doing crafts (specifically quilting), cooking, watching movies, playing games and playing with her dog.

Karin Martin - Insurance CoordinatorKarin Martin, Insurance Coordinator

Karin has been a part of the Community Health Network bariatric team since March 2004. She previously worked at Winona Memorial Hospital in the WinLife program where she was able to become an expert in helping bariatric patients process their insurance claims. Karin states, “Helping someone navigate the red tape necessary to obtain insurance authorization for bariatric surgery is always challenging, but rewarding. It's always exciting to share the news that they are approved and moving to the next phase of the surgery process." In her spare time, Karin enjoys spending time with her husband and four sons.

Kristen Railing - Part-Time Office AssistantKristen Railing, Part-Time Office Assistant

In addition to working at the Bariatric center, Kristen also teaches French at Carmel Middle School. Kristen feels that the most rewarding part of her job is “Seeing the happiness and satisfaction that the patients achieve after having their surgery. I love to see patients have a new outlook on life and enjoy living again!” When not working, Kristen enjoys spending time with family, friends and her puppy. She also enjoys listening to music, traveling, shopping and playing sports.

Missy Tuck - Director of Bariatric ServicesMissy Tuck, Director of Bariatric Services

Missy has been part of the Community Health Network bariatric team since November 2008. She graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of science in kinesiology and a double minor in chemistry and physics. She then obtained a master of science in business management with an organizational leadership emphasis. Missy has worked with the bariatric population for several years and finds it most rewarding “to hear how their weight loss has positively impacted their lives. I love the stories about being able to sit comfortably on an airplane, to shop for clothes at any store they choose, and to have the energy to keep up with their kids. It’s an amazing transition and I feel so fortunate to be part of the journey!” In her spare time, Missy is a full-time student working toward her M.B.A. with an emphasis in health care administration. She also enjoys spending quality time with her husband, son, daughter and two dogs.
